Member organizations of the Kosovo Women’s Network (KWN), the Kosova Rehabilitation Centre for Torture Victims (KRCT), Medica Kosova, and Medica\u00a0<\/span>Gjakova<\/span>\u00a0have marked their 20<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0anniversary of the establishment.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>On November 11,\u00a0<\/span>KRCT\u00a0<\/span><\/b>held the conference\u00a0<\/span>“Addressing Sexual Violence during the Kosovo War”,<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/i>through which justice for war-time sexual survivor was demanded. On this occasion relevant stakeholders discussed and shared best practices toward improving future services and treatment of such cases.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Whereas<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>on<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>November<\/span>\u00a014 in\u00a0Gjakov\u00eb\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span>book<\/span>\u00a0\u201cI\u00a0<\/em><\/span>am\u00a0Anemone\u201d\u00a0<\/em>was<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>launched<\/span>, the\u00a0<\/span>first<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>of<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>its<\/span>\u00a0kind\u00a0<\/span>written<\/span>\u00a0in\u00a0<\/span>Kosovo<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>published<\/span>\u00a0by\u00a0<\/span>Medica<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>Gjakova<\/span><\/b>.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0The book contains stories of survivors of sexual violence during the war. This event was accompanied by a photography exhibition featuring their two decades of work.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

October 24 brought together civil society activists, representatives of institutions and international organizations as well, to mark the 20<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0establishment anniversary of\u00a0<\/span>Medica<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>Kosova<\/span><\/b>. Here were presented \u201c20 Years of Transforming the pain into Force\u201d, along with some data on the number of beneficiaries and the types of services offered\u00a0<\/span>throughout these years.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

KWN has consistently supported these organizations, as well as other organizations and institutions, in their efforts to seek justice and solidarity for survivors of sexual violence in Kosovo.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
