The Kosova Women’s Network (KWN) is pleased to officially announce that on 12 Nov., for the first time, we signed a contract with the European Union (EU) Office in Kosovo.
\nThe two-year “Strengthening Women-led Civil Society Organisations in Kosovo” Initiative is set to begin on 1 Jan. 2015 and to continue through 31 Dec. 2016. The purpose of the project is to strengthen local civil society organizations’ (CSOs) capacities; increase participation; and improve quality of input in decision and policy making processes at the local level.<\/p>\n
Through this initiative, KWN will achieve the following expected results:<\/p>\n
1.\tKWN members will be better able to plan, fundraise for, and undertake effective advocacy initiatives at the local level
\n2.\tKWN members will involve more women in decision-making processes, particularly in rural areas and from minority or marginalized groups<\/p>\n
KWN will achieve these aims through interactive workshops and individualized mentoring for its members; bimonthly meetings; transparently distributing at least 25 grants to women-led CSOs amounting to €100,000; networking; awareness-raising; and advocacy.<\/p>\n
The EU’s support will be crucial in contributing to the implementation of KWN’s recently adopted Strategy for 2015-2018.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
