\u201cOpen Door\u201d and \u201cRuka Ruci\u201d organizations\u00a0on May 28 held a workshop on promoting women\u2019s rights, gender equality and prevention of gender-based violence, thus marking the last activity under the\u00a0initiative\u00a0What brings me tomorrow.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Belgjyzare\u00a0Muharremi, Executive Director of the \u201cOpen Door\u201d organization initially presented the topics that were discussed during the lecture.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOur aim is informing the youth with the phenomena such as; gender inequalities, gender stereotypes, sexual\u00a0harassments\u00a0and the patriarchy. Both organizations work with women and girls of the Albanian and Serbian communities\u201d,\u00a0Muharremi\u00a0said.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Further, Nevenka\u00a0Rikalo, Executive Director of \u201cRuka\u00a0Ruci\u201dhas\u00a0explained for the attendees that the same lectures were also given for young Serbian people.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the meetings in schools, pupils have understood the goal of this\u00a0initiative\u00a0and have\u00a0appreciated\u00a0its\u00a0importance\u00a0too. Albanian pupils have also visited the premises of Serbian schools and this is an\u00a0achievement\u00a0because it enables pupils to meet and collaborate\u201d,\u00a0Rikalo\u00a0said.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Trainer\u00a0Valentina\u00a0Bejtullahu\u00a0held an interactive session with girls talking about\u00a0the differences between\u00a0gender and sex, gender roles, inequalities toward girls and gender stereotypes.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bejtuallhu\u00a0also discussed about the phenomenon of sexual\u00a0harassments\u00a0in schools.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is KWN in 2015 that has conducted a research part of which have been interviews with pupils and teachers, where it has been noted that cases of sexual harassments\u00a0in schools exists\u201d, she said explaining the variety of sexual harassments forms.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

During the second part of the workshop was discussed about gender-based violence bullying and its impact on the youth\u2019s mental health.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOpen Door\u201d and \u201cRuka\u00a0Ruci\u201d through this initiative have collaborated with women and girls who have had the chance to\u00a0gain a hands-on experience about women\u2019s rights and their irreplaceable role in social progress.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
