{"id":3341469,"date":"2019-09-18T15:43:56","date_gmt":"2019-09-18T15:43:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/?p=3341469"},"modified":"2019-09-19T15:55:32","modified_gmt":"2019-09-19T15:55:32","slug":"the-exhibition-break-the-silence-ending-violence-behind-walls-is-welcomed-in-mitrovica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/sr\/the-exhibition-break-the-silence-ending-violence-behind-walls-is-welcomed-in-mitrovica\/","title":{"rendered":"The Exhibition \u201cBreak the Silence: Ending Violence Behind Walls\u201d is welcomed in Mitrovica"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of citizens gathered today at Isa Boletini Square to visit the exhibition \u201cBreak the Silence: Ending Violence behind walls\u201d organized by Kosovo Women\u2019s Network (KWN).<\/p>\n<p>This traveling exhibition presents a symbolic home labyrinth that reveals some of the stories gathered by KWN regarding women and men who have experienced domestic violence.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe Center for the Protection of Women and Children \u2013 Raba Voca\u201d &#8211; the organization that supported this exhibition has highly appreciated the role that the exhibition carries with it.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3341459\" src=\"https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/DSC01248-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/DSC01248-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/DSC01248-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/DSC01248-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe that our citizens will become aware of where to report cases of domestic violence\u201d, said Fidane Hyseni, director of the shelter. We are grateful to KWN for this exhibition and for the opportunity to come together and organize this event\u201d Since the beginning of this year a total of 42 victims of domestic violence have been housed at the shelter.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The \u201cStanding Walls\u201d part of the exhibition raised much curiosity among the citizens.
