{"id":3348594,"date":"2020-12-28T08:29:04","date_gmt":"2020-12-28T08:29:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/?p=3348594"},"modified":"2020-12-28T08:31:33","modified_gmt":"2020-12-28T08:31:33","slug":"handikos-mitrovica-holds-vocational-training-for-its-members-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/sr\/handikos-mitrovica-holds-vocational-training-for-its-members-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Handikos Mitrovica Holds Vocational Training for Its Members"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Handikos Mitrovica holds meetings with its member regarding vocational\nskills and personnel capacity building for persons with disabilities. \u201cImplementation\nof the Law on Employment and Vocational Training for Persons with Disabilities\u201d\nwas the subject of these debates held by Handikos Mitrovica, member\norganization of Kosovo Women\u2019s Network (KWN), to discuss opportunities and\nchallenges for employment of people with disabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Myrvete Hasani, Director of Handikos Mitrovica, talked about\nthe barriers that people with disabilities generally face, with a particular\nemphasis on employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThese obstacles are causing problems in employment of\npeople with disabilities, making it difficult to have access in the labor\nmarket, so through this project we are aim to train young people in adapting\ntheir strengths to the demands of employers\u201d, Hasan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within this initiative Handikos Mitrovica held two five-days-workshops\nwith two different groups of members of the organization. Topics covered during\nthese trainings were related to the forms of communication and presentation,\nwriting a CV and Cover Letter, as well as about preparing for job interviews.\nThese topics were addressed by Mr. Erzen Isufi, external expert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On 13 February, Handikos Mitrovica organized a debate to\ndiscuss the legislative aspects that regulate the employment of people with\ndisabilities were also discussed, identifying the points at which relevant\ninstitutions could contribute more, as well as the benefits for employers in\nthe hiring of people with disabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/IMG_1098-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3348598\" srcset=\"https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/IMG_1098-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/IMG_1098-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/IMG_1098-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Leonita Sadiku, a student at the University of Mitrovica\n\u201cIsa Boletini\u201d, shared her experience of employment discrimination.
