Amongst other\nobstacles mentioned during the discussion, the lack of institutional support\nfrom local government seemed to be a very critical one, especially in the\ninitial phase when businesses need it the most. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8222;From the implemataion of this project we have\nnoticed the discrimination of women which is being done in various job\nvacancies, the increase of women&#8217;s economic informality and gender inequality\nin government subsidies&#8220; said the executive director of the Women&#8217;s\nAssociation, Qefsere Kumanova.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These meetings were organized in the framework of\nthe initiative &#8222;Empowerment of women in the labor market&#8220; supported\nby the Kosovo Women&#8217;s Fund (KWF) and funded by the Austrian Development Agency\n(ADA) and co-financed by UN Women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/120453297_4603056276403661_8178265104651259781_o-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3348675\" srcset=\"https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/120453297_4603056276403661_8178265104651259781_o-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/120453297_4603056276403661_8178265104651259781_o-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/120453297_4603056276403661_8178265104651259781_o.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of this initiative, the Women&#8217;s Association was able to identify <strong>100 cases<\/strong> of discrimination against women and young women in job vacancies. <strong>50 women and young women<\/strong> have been trained for job interviews and have been trained on file complaints for gender bases discrimination in labor. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"922\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Slide2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3348693\" srcset=\"https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Slide2.jpg 922w, https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Slide2-300x234.jpg 300w, https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Slide2-768x600.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 922px) 100vw, 922px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cInformal businesses and their challenges\u201d, \u201cDiscrimination in job vacancies\u201d and \u201cInstitutional treatment of discrimination in job vacancies\u201d were the topics discussed during the focus groups organized by the member organization of the Kosovo Women&#8217;s Network (KWN), Women&#8217;s Association.
