{"id":3353156,"date":"2021-12-02T10:20:00","date_gmt":"2021-12-02T10:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/?p=3353156"},"modified":"2022-01-25T10:21:50","modified_gmt":"2022-01-25T10:21:50","slug":"kwn-welcomes-volunteers-together-paving-the-path-to-gender-equality","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/sr\/kwn-welcomes-volunteers-together-paving-the-path-to-gender-equality\/","title":{"rendered":"KWN Welcomes Volunteers: Together Paving The Path To Gender Equality"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On December 2, Kosovo Women&#8217;s Network (KWN) staff welcomed at their office the volunteers who recantly joined KWN\u2019s work and activism toward gender equality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the meeting, volunteers Emily Prechtl, Erin Brown, and Jennifer Stumme shared their impressions of working with KWN, appreciating the expertise and lessons learned from working with KWN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_8298-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3353152\" srcset=\"https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_8298-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_8298-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_8298-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_8298-1-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/womensnetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_8298-1-2048x1365.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am extremely happy to have joined KWN during my time in Kosovo; I first heard about KWN in 2019, when I visited Kosovo for the first time, and since then I have been looking for a way to join this organization, which is the largest organization for women&#8217;s rights in the region\u201d said Prechtl, who was also part of a workshop held in Durr\u00ebs with representatives of over 100 KWN member organizations to plan for KWN&#8217;s feminist strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She further appreciated the opportunity to learn more about the work that KWN member organizations are doing to improve the &nbsp;women\u2019s position in Kosovo in several areas through volunteering with KWN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The volunteers appreciated the opportunity provided by KWN which will serve them well when they return to their countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whereas, Etleva Malushaj, KWN Project Coordinator, introduced the participants to the history of volunteer engagement in KWN\u2019s work, as well as the importance of this program for strengthening solidarity and the feminist movement in Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8222;The Kosovo Women&#8217;s Network constantly creates opportunities to include as many volunteers in the organization.
