Through empowering women and girls, advocacy, and creating spaces for participation, SHE Solutions<\/strong> works towards a more equal society where women have greater opportunities to participate in and influence decision-making, as well as issues that affect their lives and the communities in which they live. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 2021 by Antigone Baxhaku-Idrizi<\/strong>, SHE Solutions is committed to advancing gender equality and empowering women and girls, with a particular focus on women\u2019s participation in decision-making, peace and security, and increasing their participation in public life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of SHE Solutions\u2019 key areas of work is increasing women\u2019s participation and representation in the security sector<\/strong>. Through research, advocacy, public discussions, and various initiatives, the organization seeks to identify and address the barriers that limit women\u2019s participation and advancement in this sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of its commitment to promoting women\u2019s voices and perspectives, SHE Solutions has also developed platforms for communication and public dialogue<\/strong>, through which issues related to women\u2019s rights and empowerment are addressed more broadly, while providing women with opportunities to share their experiences, knowledge, and perspectives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One such initiative is the \u201cSPOTLIGHT\u201d podcast<\/strong>, which, through a series of 8 episodes<\/strong>, explored the role and contributions of women in peace and security<\/strong>, highlighting women\u2019s experiences, challenges, and contributions in these fields. The podcast aims to amplify women\u2019s voices and encourage broader discussion on the importance of their participation in building peace, security, and democratic societies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another series of 10 episodes<\/strong> focused on women\u2019s rights as an integral part of human rights<\/strong>, addressing issues related to equality, dignity, participation, and women\u2019s rights in society. Through these episodes, SHE Solutions seeks to contribute to greater public awareness and strengthen the debate on gender equality and women\u2019s rights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work of SHE Solutions has also created spaces and opportunities for women and girls to develop their knowledge and skills, articulate their needs and demands, and advocate for change at both the local and central levels. Particular attention has also been given to empowering women with disabilities<\/strong>, supporting their more active participation in public life and decision-making processes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With more than two decades of experience in media and public communication, including working as a journalist, presenter, editor, and editor-in-chief at RTV21<\/strong>, as well as serving as an adviser to former President of Kosovo Atifete Jahjaga and working in the Office of former Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, Antigone Baxhaku-Idrizi<\/strong> brings this experience to advancing women\u2019s empowerment, strategic communication, and gender equality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her combined experience in media, communications, public institutions, and civil society has enabled Baxhaku-Idrizi to build bridges of cooperation between women, civil society organizations, media, and institutions<\/strong>, contributing to the creation of spaces where women\u2019s voices can be heard and transformed into public and institutional influence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SHE Solutions is a member of the Kosovo Women\u2019s Network (KWN)<\/strong>, while Antigone Baxhaku-Idrizi serves as a member of the KWN Board. Through the network, SHE Solutions is part of a community of organizations and activists working together to advance women\u2019s rights and gender equality in Kosovo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of her engagement with KWN, Baxhaku-Idrizi has discussed with representatives of the network different methodologies and approaches for changing the norms and values that underpin gender inequalities<\/strong>. Drawing on her extensive experience in media, strategic communication, public relations<\/strong>, as well as her experience as a policy adviser and liaison with public institutions<\/strong>, she has emphasized the importance of engaging men and boys in efforts to advance gender equality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this experience, Baxhaku-Idrizi has worked to strengthen connections and cooperation between civil society organizations and institutions<\/strong>, with the aim of ensuring that gender equality issues are also addressed through policies and institutional processes. A particular focus of this approach is working with young people and educational institutions, with the aim of changing norms and addressing the root causes of gender inequalities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Such meetings and collaborations are part of KWN\u2019s efforts to remain connected with its member organizations, better understand their work and needs, and identify new opportunities for cooperation and impact. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
