KWN Launches the 13 Grant Round of Kosovo Women’s Fund, member organizations appreciate this opportunity

Kosovo Women’s Network (KWN) on June 21 held an information session for the 13th grant round of the Kosovo Women’s Fund (KWF).

More than 30 representatives of member organizations participated in this meeting to learn more about the application process and the conditions to fulfil.

Diellza Olluri, Project Coordinator, KWF, shared application procedures with the participants, highlighting that ideas should contribute to advancing women’s rights and promote gender equality, including strengthening women’s participation in politics.

During this interactive discussion, Olluri further explained the selection criteria, emphasizing that advocacy initiatives are extremely  important.

Same as last year, member organizations can apply for one of the two types of grants available: Advocacy Grants, for a single organization, and Networking for Change Grants, where two organizations can apply for a joint initiative.

Further, in accordance with the KWN Strategy for 2019-2022, the types of initiatives that will be prioritized for funding will include: Strengthening the Feminist Movement in Kosovo, Women in Politics and Decision-making, Women’s Right to Healthcare, A Life Free from Gender-based Violence, Women’s Economic Empowerment, and Improving Access to Quality and Gender Sensitive Education.

Attendees appreciated the information gained from this briefing session, thanking the KWN that provided this opportunity to its member organizations since establishing the Fund in 2012.

This meeting and the 13th grant round of KWN’s Kosovo Women’s Fund is supported by the European Union (EU) Office in Kosovo and Austrian Development Agency (ADA).
